This two-day course aims to enhance your skills and understanding of group work, increase awareness of the potential benefits, and will reflect on your own behaviour as both a group member and a group facilitator.
The course is an experiential day and will explore the foundational use of different models of group processes and group dynamics and will identify ways of creating a safe and trusting environment.
By the end of the course, you will feel confident in applying a variety of facilitation skills, techniques, and approaches to ensure group work is effective, safe and creative.
This course will support you to:
- Understand group processes and dynamics
- Identify your personal facilitation style and its impact on group work
- Examine the different roles people take in groups
- Create a safe and trusting environment for group work
- Apply strategies to effectively manage difficult situations, including conflict
- Understand the benefits and limitations of co-facilitation

This two-day course will be taking place on 8 & 9 October 2025 at a Brighton Venue.
Attendance on both days is required.
The way this Group Work training was facilitated reflected the theory on best ways to run groups. This gave a clear example of how well those techniques work. I really enjoyed it.
