Be Prepared for the Next Wave of Benefits Changes…
The world of benefits never stands still—and neither should your knowledge. With the Government accelerating the Managed Migration to Universal Credit, aiming to complete the transition by the end of the 2025–26 tax year, both claimants and the professionals supporting them are facing new and evolving challenges.
This essential intermediate-level update is designed for workers who already have a reasonable knowledge of UC and who want to stay updated and confident in their practice.
We’ll explore the latest developments, including:
- Managed Migration acceleration and legacy benefit closures
- Supporting people on ESA through the transition to Universal Credit
- Transitional protection: demystifying the hidden complexities
- The Benefit Cap: who is affected and how to avoid it
- Upcoming changes to PIP and the Work Capability Assessment
- The Claimant Commitment – pitfalls and problems
- New resources and helpful websites
You’ll leave the course with a clear understanding of the changes, the confidence to support your clients, and access to practical tools you can start using immediately.
Who should attend?
This course is suitable for anyone reasonably familiar with UC who needs to be confident that their knowledge is up to date.
It will not be suitable for people who are brand new to Universal Credit, or people who do specialist benefits casework.
Level:
Intermediate
The trainer’s knowledge, energy and ability to manage the space was extremely well done. Sharing tools to empower our clients and highlighting important language and regulations. Also the case studies were brilliant as it brought the training to life and was really memorable.
