Implementing Change in the Charity Sector: A Guide for Managers

Upcoming Implementing Change in the Charity Sector: A Guide for Managers

Date & Time of Course

  •  1 December, 2026
     9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Location:

Managers are often responsible for implementing organisational change that they did not design, and which may affect them as much as their team.  This can put managers in a particularly challenging position as they balance the needs of their organisation, their team and their own response to change.

This new half-day course will explore the manager’s role in implementing change effectively.

Participants will consider how to communicate change clearly and honestly, understand and respond to resistance, maintain trust when there is uncertainty, and support their teams to adapt to new ways of working.

Drawing on practical approaches and frameworks, the session will help managers move beyond simply communicating change to actively supporting their teams through the transition and embedding new ways of working.

This course will support you to:

  • Understand the particular challenges managers face when implementing change designed by others
  • Communicate organisational change clearly and confidently, including when you have reservations of your own
  • Apply practical frameworks to plan and support implementation
  • Understand why people may resist change and respond to resistance constructively
  • Maintain trust and engagement during periods of uncertainty
  • Embed new ways of working so change becomes part of everyday practice
  • Identify practical strategies to manage your own response to change while supporting others

Who should attend?

This session is open to managers at all levels who are responsible for implementing, communicating or supporting organisational change within their team.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Implementing Change workshop facilitated by Maria. I left the workshop feeling energised and more confident in knowing how to support my team with future changes in the organisation.
