Senior leaders play a critical role in identifying when organisational change is needed, and creating the conditions that allow the changes to become successfully embedded. In the charity sector, this may involve responding to changing organisational priorities, funding, service needs, external pressures or changes in the wider environment.
This practical session explores the strategic leadership role in organisational change.
The session will focus primarily on how change is experienced by people and how leaders can communicate a compelling rationale for change to bring people with them, respond to challenges and resistance, and create the conditions for change to become embedded and sustained.
We will also explore how to identify when change is needed, assess team readiness, and plan and involve others in the process.
This course will support you to:
- Identify what needs to change within your organisation
- Assess team readiness and potential barriers to successful change
- Plan change effectively with a focus on people and how the changes will impact on them
- Communicate a clear and compelling rationale for change across your organisation
- Anticipate and respond constructively to common reactions, concerns and resistance to change
- Create the conditions for change to be embedded and sustained
Who should attend?
This session is aimed at senior managers and leaders with responsibility for leading organisational change.

We worked with Maria to deliver a very successful, comprehensive transformation project and one of the things that set us up well for success was the preparation and planning we did with leaders and managers before we started rolling the programme out. Maria helped us think through our approach to people as well as process – without this, we would really have struggled.
