Navigating Change in the Charity Sector

Upcoming Navigating Change in the Charity Sector

Date & Time of Course

  •  6 October, 2026
     9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Location:

Change is a constant feature of life in the charity sector, from funding pressures and policy shifts to changes in leadership, organisational structures and ways of working.  For many of us, the people we support are also facing big changes and periods of uncertainty.

This new half-day session looks at why change is often difficult, particularly for people with a strong personal connection to their organisation’s mission, and what can help us respond well.  Drawing on established models of how people experience change, the course will give you practical tools to manage your own reactions, communicate effectively, and support others, including those relying on our services, through periods of uncertainty and transition.

This course will support you to:

  • Understand your own reactions to change and why they happen
  • Recognise common patterns in how people respond to change
  • Identify what helps you and others feel more secure during periods of uncertainty
  • Communicate more effectively with colleagues and others who are finding change difficult
  • Apply practical techniques to manage your own wellbeing through transition
  • Approach change with greater confidence

Who should attend?

This session is suitable for anyone experiencing or supporting others through change and uncertainty
